I am not one to toot my own horn, so this is uncomfortable for me to pass along – but OMG Wow! I was recently featured in the South Carolina Voyager for my wedding photography and videography. It was a quick question-and-answer interview that gives a little background about who I am and what I’m all about. I thought that I would share this information with you so that you can get to know me a little better.

My Background

I have been a professional videographer and photographer since 2004 – well, to be honest, since well before that. I do all sorts of events and occasions, but my heart really sings when I can capture weddings. To date, I have been blessed to document over 240 weddings in just under a decade. I graduated from the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico with a degree and moved from San Juan to Charleston, which I now call home.

My Challenges

We all have many challenges that we face in life, but I feel very blessed that mine have been minimal and I feel very grateful for both the life I am living and my family. My only struggle right now – which I WILL not complain about – is having enough time in my schedule to keep up with the many weddings that are flooding the area and asking me to be a part of them.

What Sets Me Apart?

When asked what sets me apart from other wedding photographers and videographers, my answer is that I capture the images that many people miss. I specialize in weddings, families, engagement, and bridal sessions and take great pride in every project that I take on. For me, my career is not a job; it is my passion, and I love nothing more than being able to record the special memories of people’s lives. While you are living them, it is hard to see all that is going on. I can show people what was happening behind the scenes and things that they might have missed.

What Drives Me?

My style is fresh and modern because I believe that a picture speaks for itself. My greatest interests are the people I showcase, so that is what my camera is always focused on. Every single moment that I capture is a blessing. I am also very proud of the many reviews and ratings that I receive – not for business purposes, but because it makes me feel good knowing that I have influenced someone else’s life.

What Characteristic Do I Feel Is Most Important to My Success?

I think that it is my empathy, my desire to please, and my neverending push to listen and follow through to deliver what my clients need. All too often, we come to a situation with our own agenda – most of the time completely unaware of it. And when we do that, we lose sight of what others want. I listen very intently to what my clients tell me is important to THEM so that I don’t wrongly assume that we have the same wants. It is their day and I want to capture it exactly as THEY want.

I want to thank all of my clients who made that interview a possibility and who have gone to great lengths to get the word out about my work. I look forward to serving the wedding communities for many, many years to come.

Thank you, -Sasha...
